This property sold on 4/29/2010 for $61,000.
When dealing with Cripple Creek, location is an odd topic. Most buyers that we come across are looking for mountain views with roughly an acre of land. Typically these are also newer homes.
Investors, and sometimes people who work in the area, will buy the homes in town. The values of some of these homes has gone through the floor, a lot like many of the homes that haven't been maintained. You can make your own opinion, but the MLS states the proprety you are inquiring about is an updated home, and it sold for $61,000 so things aren't complicated to figure out with pricing. There are a lot of homes with great character here, and the casinos have had some opportunities to bring more people to the area, but according to the things I read in the Gazette, it hasn't been working.
Please let me know if I can help you with anything else.
May I suggest that you make a list of important features you are seeking. If crime is a worry, I alwayse suggest visiting the local law enforcement agency for statistical data.

What specific about a good location would be important to you? This property being close to Cripple Creek is great if you are looking for the mountain get away and as far as being in good shape that is also subjective to the buyer. I would suggest setting a showing to see it in person to make your opinions as I could tell you that it is a Fantastic location and is in great shape! But that might just be what you are looking to hear as well and not completely accurate based upon what you may find to be perfect. I hope this helps!
