I love living in my Victorian. This one on Union in particular looks as though one of the biggest maintenance concerns has been alleviated, the exterior has been sided with vinyl. The person below will probably agree, keeping the wood siding in shape takes some work. Ive sold several homes on that strip over the years, please let me know if I can help. Regarding the income question, I'm sure a lender will answer that question more definitively than I can.

Hello Msrachelle79, I once thought the same as you, concerning Victorian homes. Though I didn't purchase my dream home, I did purchased a 5 bed 1 bath home, built in 1905, for cash. I'm a single mother of three, it's now sixteen-years later, my children are all grown and though all major repairs are complete, there's still work to be done. I'm in no way trying to discourage you, but consider the cost of repairs to make the house stand out as a Victorian dream. After sixteen years of sweat and money, I'm now basically alone & in the process of selling my home. Good luck.
