As Elena Talis pointed out, this property is listed for sale at $1.4 million dollars. This property is not for rent.
Unfortunately there have been some scam artists who take the pictures from the Multiple Listing Service of properties that are listed for sale and post the properties as rental properties far below the market rent for the property.
The scam artists then collect your deposit and prepaid rent and disappear with your money.
Now, you not only do not have a place to livet, but the scam artists have now disappeared with your deposit money and the money for your prepaid rent that you need to get a place to rent.
This is a very cruel and very destructive scam. Unfortunately the victims are usually those who can least afford the loss.
Also, the scam artists will use the information that you provide for a credit check to steal your identity.
I recommend that whenever you are dealing with someone who claims to have a house for rent, verify that they have an active California Real Estate License before you give them any money or any of your personal information that could be used to steal your identity.
