The easiest way to find out how the property is listed is to go into the local (City) tax records. These will clarify how the property is to be used......legally and how it may be advertised...legally. If you have a two family house and someone is telling you there are actually four units..then two of the units are illegal and may most probably not be legally registered......you may also go to the County registration or property records.
