Every landlord will look at different things to help them determine if they think will be responsible & and able to pay the rent every month for the term of the lease. Just put yourself in their shoes & you will understand better.

Good luck a landlord need to be confident that renter is able to pay rent so if your credit is bad you need to let them know why and have some good referances inhand when you talk to them best to be upfront in the begining

Fatima,
Each landlord sets their own parameter for what they deem acceptable credit. If you don't have much credit, but a good job, references and can pay the deposits, some landlords are okay with that. Many people have entered the rental market after losing their home in foreclosure or bankruptcy, and many of them find willing landlords.
If the home is of interest to you, have a local agent assist you with an application and see what may be possible in your circumstances. Best of luck.

Yes, most landlords will check your credit. If it is managed by a property
management company, they and the landlord will have agreed on the
lowest acceptable credit score they will consider.
