I do believe this is possible but there are strict building codes to adhere to. You probably won't get an electrician to respond on this website so its best to check with a one and have them advise you. If your are like most people who ask questions about electricity, you aren't qualified to install it. Good luck!

You might try contacting the building department where you live. I have found that they are very helpful in answering questions about code.
