Kitchen and bathrooms are always at the top spot but extended outdoor living areas are becoming more popular these days as well. Curb appeal is always your first shot to make a good first impression.

Kitchen and bathrooms. Also you want to make a good first impression so improve walk up appeal if necessary.

The Austin Board of Realtors just had an article about this. Some of the top of the list included:

1. Painting
2. Kitchen update
3. Bathroom Update

I'm a big fan of exterior yard trim, remove trash, trim hedges and trees and add some fresh flowers but that didn't make the list.

Once you've got the buyer in your home, the kitchen and bathrooms must impress. I would start with those!

I'd love to provide you a free consultation if you're looking for an expert's opinion after a quick pass through.

Kitchen remodelling, followed closely by bathrooms. If the landscaping is in poor shape, it should be taken care of too. Nothing kills interest quicker than poor street appearance.
