Where Can I report a Bad Property Manager in Las Vegas?

Asked by Joypsalm91, Las Vegas, NV Thu Oct 20, 2011

My property manager is rude, lazy and controlling. Their property management contract grants them so much authority over my property that I as the rental owner has to constanty be on the look out from the unkind strategy of the agent. I need help as the broker is so powerful and thinks that she could just do anything they want. I am very stressed with this and is really affecting me terribly. Thank you so much

Please do not take it to the division yet. I am a with a property management company and we have over 350 properties in contract with close to 20 years in the business. We have our share of disagreements with our owners but we break our backs to resolve them in a business and human level.
We as a humans have gotten so quick to sue and or get police/state involved. We are better then this as Americans/humans. Please call me in the morning as we'll talk. My broker is the president of the State Board of Realtors and past President of Local Board of Realtors. I'm sure we can resolve your issues on a "person" level and if not we can advise you or dirrect you to the right persons at either office. If you are a Christian person, pray for this other person as they may have issues in their life causing them to behaive this way. I'm sorry this has happened to you but I would like to help resolve this with you. Matt

They sent the maintenance man to my apt for three days finally he called a ac company n they came Saturday n left no one said anything to me. Monday I call office again they said they ordered some part. Ac ppl came yesterday evening and put the part in and said it's gonna need another one. They couldn't get a hold of no one in our office cuz it was closed again. This morning I called again n she took another work order and still again no one has called me. I've left 3 messages in our office cuz they never answer the phone and no one still hasn't returned my call. What do I do???? I don't know the nevada laws pls help

Thank you all for your answers. I just joined this blog in my desperation for seek for help. Pls note that I have similar questions that I posted as I was not sure if I was asking the right questions. I should have not done that but just in case you see it is the same from me.
Jeffrey- yes I will give you a call tomorrow or Saturday if that is okay.
Matthew- yes I really do not want to sue as that is such a negative energy. I just want out of the contract as soon as possible. It is extra stressful as I live in CA and my house is in LV. I was hoping for a kinder property manager. I really want to resolve this amicably since last month but my agent just say he cannot compromise on any of my request and the form that he used is approved by the board of realtors and he will not make an exemption--this really hurts me alot. If that is okay with you I will contact you perhaps on the weekend.

Thank you so much

This is my first time to join this blog as I am quite desperate. I do not know where to go as my house is in LV and I live in CA. Also I am quite afraid with the broker as they are so big.
But I feel so encouraged with the messages below. I now have some directions and will definitely work on it tomorrow. I really welcome any advice and suggestions.
I really want to change property manager as soon as I can get out of it. Also I might sell my house next year once the lease is up and I really do not like to give it to the current agent as he is so unkind but with all their contracts I feel like I am stuck with them is really a very controlling contract. Thank you so much

John, is correct.. you can complain to Real Estate Divison,
they are really friendly there and will help you wtih that Property Manager as we must all still have Real Estate License.. Act now, before you get yourself sick, it's not worth it... The Divison will take care of the Broker for you, and remember there is no one that is too powerful.., it all comes to an end.!!!
Good Luck

After you do what John mentioned give me a call if you have questions. I'm a property manager with simple contracts. We are supposed to be looking out for the homeowner and the renter as well. I get most of my business from unhappy owners looking for a change.
