In Bayville/Berkeley township taxes will go up as of January 1, 2009. The assessment evaluations will be based on appraisals done in 2007 and by using those numbers as a base, we will all be overtaxed because today our houses are worth substantially less than they were 2 years ago. The Town budget, however, never goes down.

And no signs of Town slowing down it's spending. Soon we will have a Town Center we don't need and every sports field will soon be lit up like the Meadowlands. Route 9 used to have trees mixed in with small malls. Now almost no trees and still small but many more malls that will never attract enough tenants. How many pizza joints can one town support? Especially when folks are losing their jobs - and many their houses, as well. Too much politics instead of truly planning for generations down the road.

Don't you love this? Don't know the answer BUT you could ask Janet who has an office in Lacey. She is an expert.
