What townships in PA have the lowest real estate taxes for senior citizens? For citizens of any age?

That's a loaded question. You can have a lower tax rate in, let's say, Cheltenham township (Montgomery County) and a higher tax rate in Hempfield Township (Westmoreland county). But within those two townships, home prices are quite different. A three bedroom home in Cheltenham could cost $250K and in Hempfield, a similar home could cost $175K. Then you could go to Oil City, PA and pay $125K for that home. The Oil City home owner could have the highest tax rate yet still pay the least amount in taxes than the Cheltenham home owner.

This would really take a lot of research to figure out which place would equal the lowest overall taxes.
