Question for trulia -Why does trulia show preforclosure and notice of default homes which are not listed?

Yes,this is causing confusion for buyers and disturbing the homeowners listed.
I just had a client send me 4 listings all preforclosures from trulia...

Hi Victor,

That is a really good question! Trulia really needs to be the one to answer this, but if I had to venture guess it might be to increase the traffic to their site.

There has been an increase in those looking to purchase a foreclosure and by having homes showing up in the Trulia site it would increase the amount of traffic being sent to their site. Other than that it really does not make a whole lot of sense to show a home that is not necessarily available to purchase.
