I think I figured out the reason for your question. Trulia is reporting the ASSESSED VALUE of the property. This is the value the assessor used to then come up with the taxes. While the assessement is $73,300, the taxes are $7348 (including the star exemption). This should compare faorably with taxes on homes in Ardsley.
By the way, this is a very charming home that thas been kept in really good condiition.
