If you have a school district that you prefer, I would definitely advise calling HCPSS to see if there are any future plans to redistrict. There has been significant redistricting in the southern part of Howard County starting with the elementary schools for next year. The elementary schools in Elkridge are next. The middle schools are planned to redistrict after that and then possibly the high schools (again.) The growth rate in Howard has made it near impossible not to constantly re-draw the boundary lines. If it's an important factor for you, I would highly recommend contacting the county when you find a house you are interested in. Hall Shop is also very close to the Reservoir HS line, and parts of it are in the Reservoir HS district. Try this: ...AND...

Best of luck

The Listing Agent has identified the following schools:

Elementary: Pointers Run

Middle: Lime Kiln

High: Atholton

Things can change and it's always best to check with the County School Board to ensure the best information. A quick method to ascertain information is to use the Howard County Public School System "School and Bus locator" at

Hi Shawn
Here is a link to the Howard County School website. You can type in any address to determine the schools it feeds. .
You may find that listings do not have the schools listed. Many agents do not include this information, not because we are lazy, but because it can change. Since many buyers make buying decisions based upon the schools, its always best to double check it, not rely on information in the listing. A good buyers agent will do this for you.
Let me know if you need further assistance.
