Your first step is to go to the lender of your choice and find out for sure that you will qualify for a home, and how much you can afford to pay for the home. Once that is done, find a Realtor that you want to deal with and he or she can guide you from there.

Hi Robin,
Your first step would be to get Pre-Qualifed to see what your financing optiosn might be. Your request can be submitted at On foreclosed proeprties, the really does not matter since only the listing agent would deal directly with them. The only time the seller would realyl matter is on a Fannie Mae REO since they offer HomePath financing on those properties.

You wouldn't deal with the property owner. You would go through a Real Estate Agent to purchase the property. If you would like to go through the home, give me a call. I can help you find a suitable lender also.
