Your first step is to go to the lender of your choice and find out for sure that you will qualify for a home, and how much you can afford to pay for the home. Once that is done, find a Realtor that you want to deal with and he or she can guide you from there.

Hi Robin,
Your first step would be to get Pre-Qualifed to see what your financing optiosn might be. Your request can be submitted at http://www.rodneymason.com. On foreclosed proeprties, the really does not matter since only the listing agent would deal directly with them. The only time the seller would realyl matter is on a Fannie Mae REO since they offer HomePath financing on those properties.

You wouldn't deal with the property owner. You would go through a Real Estate Agent to purchase the property. If you would like to go through the home, give me a call. I can help you find a suitable lender also.
