Property Q&A in Simi Valley>Question Details

Jason Savoie, Home Buyer in Culver City, CA

Just wondering how big is this property and is it easily accessible, even if a dirt road is to be put in.

Asked by Jason Savoie, Culver City, CA Sun Mar 29, 2009

I'm looking for horse property. Something to have a small farm on. Would this, or other properties in the area be available for such a thing?

Jason, this is a custom log cabin, zoned for 2 horses but not a good lot for farming, although there is an orchard farm across the street the owners may be interested in liquidating...MLS 10-483259 Thanks for inquiring! chris.shomo@coldwellbanker.com

Sounds good. Thank you for the advice. I'll look at other places.

Jason, I drive past this lot a few time a week on my way to Lake Manor and Chatsworth. Farming would not be the easiest use for the land. You really need to go up to the county and talk to planning and what you can do with the property.

Hi Jason, This area is mostly hillside land. Have you considered fillmore or somis? They might have some more affordable flat land options for you. The weather there is similar so, I dont know what type of farming you are considering but I would imagine that these areas would simliarly accomodate your need. Also, how much land are you looking for?
