I called the listing agent this morning and was told that it has actually closed, but the status hasn't been updated on the MLS. Let know if I can provide any other assistance, such as searching for other foreclosures or specific areas for a home that meets your criteria.

Yes, this is the same bank owned home you inquired about this past October. It's still "pending" because it is bank owned and those can take longer to close, especially if extensive repairs are needed.
Over the past few months, I have assisted many home buyers purchase and close on some real nice bank owned properties, and all of them were purchased and/or contracted for $35,000 to $55,000 under market value. As always, if you are interested in receiving a list of other bank owned houses for sale in Suffolk, I'll be happy to email them to you.
Also, if you are a first time buyer, or haven't owned a home in the past 3 years, you might qualify to receive $8,000 back from the government either as a tax credit or as "cash/check." Buyers must enter into a binding contract BEFORE May 1, 2010 so if you wish to take advantage of this very unique opportunity, you should become pre-approved for a mortgage no later than the end of January, in order to provide you enough time to find, purchase, and close of the home. On average, this entire homebuying process take about 45-90 days after you become pre-approved for a loan.
As a "buyer's agent," I never charge you a fee to help you find and purchase a home listed on the MLS. If you have any additional questions or concerns, please feel free to call, email, or text me, as my Blackberry is always on!
