It is great time to consider Destin as we are going to benefit from the fact that Vision Airlines has just made the Ft. Walton/Destin aiport it's new hub with direct service to 20 cities starting this month! We are expecting more travelers more often which should really help our rental income on vacation properties as well as demand for properties. This condo closed sale on March 1 2011. It was a short sale, and was put under contract December 2010. Not bad for a short sale. There were two mortgages on this property. What a deal this was. Don't feel too bad, however, as the condo fees are over 900/month. It was 1249 sq ft, 3 bedroom, 2 bath. It was brand new according to the listing.
If you would like information on condo deals in the area, I would be happy to help you. Condo fees generally run between 300-600/month. The most expensive condo association fees seem to be One Waterplace at Kelly Plantation and the Emerald Grande.
