Is 1465 broken oak dr # 43b, winter garden a townhome or condo?

Asked by caitsalovich, 32836 Thu Dec 20, 2012

It has listed on MLS a townhome but there are other listings in this community that say they are condos. I was advised not to purchase a condo because they decrease in value and are basically for older people. I really like this property and the inside would fit my lifestyle however I think the listing agent made a mistake when selecting the property type.

Townhome is a style of property. Condo is a form of ownership. Apartments are almost always owned as condominiums. Townhomes are either owned fee simple (you own the land under the unit) or condominium (you don't own the land).

you can tell from the legal discretion. If has a lot # then it will be a town home. No lot # then a condo
The rumor that you heard about condos decreasing in value and being for older people is just not true. In today's world many young people would rather spend their spare time on something other than yard work. Condo prices are on the up so do not delay if you are at all interested. The official name of the subdivision includes the word "condo" in it. These Triplex units are called townhomes because each inividual home contains two living levels. The rumor that you heard about condos decreasing in value and being for older people is from another age. In today's world many young people would rather spend their spare time on something other than yard work. This home format provides the legal advantages of a single family home along with the benefits that are normally associated with condos. In the past 12 months, condo prices have increased far more than any other segment of the residential market.
