Hello Jessica, it sounds as though you may be a first time home buyer. If so you really do need to speak with your own Realtor. The listing agent represents the seller. You need a buyer's agent. Generally, the commission is paid from the seller's funds and not the buyer so you would not be 'charged' for this service unless you make that arrangement. Most buyer's agents that I know (and I am a buyer's agent) work with their clients and then are paid at settlement from the seller's funds. Their financial responsibility however is to you not the seller. So please, make sure you get your own representation. There are many of us out here qualified to help. Good luck! Cher

Why would you want to work with the selling agent?Don't you want representation on your part? You need to find an agent to show you anything you want to see. If it is in multiple list any agent can show you the property. Let me know if you want to set up an appointment through me. I can show it today.

Jessica - I am sorry that I gave you the wrong listing company - it is Gil Clark, which is not a traditional full service brokerage. Indeed the notes in the MLS tell us to call the owner directly for all contract presentations. I just sold a home in that community seveal months ago so I am very familiar with it. Again, I would love to help you find a home whether it is in DC, MD or VA and work as your buyer's agent, using my legal and realtor skills. Just give me a call at 240-401-5577.

AN agent with Prudential Carruthers is the listing agent, but I am very happy to take you to see it. If you see it with the listing agent, then you won't have a buyer's agent representing your interests. Is there is time that works for you to see it this week?
