That answer to this question rests almost entirely with you, depending upon a number of factors which include, but are not limited to: how much money you are putting down, your credit score, the value and condition of the house you are buying, the type of mortgage loan (conventional, FHA, VA, SONYMA) the Lender you chose to do business with, the "type" of property you are buying and other factors (ie. single family, two family, jumbo loan, planned unit development, mixed use) and lastly, how affirmatively and aggressively you co-operate with your Lender with respect to documentation that they ask you to provide to them. Rest assured that if you drag your feet, they will do so as well.

Your loan officer can answer any mortgage questions you may have, consider a consultation. Much will depend on the lender, the type of loan, how quickly necessary documentation is supplied, etc.
