As my colleagues have stated below, it is more than likely a scam. The best way to avoid running into these is to work with a local Broker, Agent or property management company. We as Real Estate professionals have no control over what someone posts on the internet or Trulia for that matter. I know it can be frustrating but WE are your best defense in avoiding scams like this one that you came across.

Best of luck,

You are welcome buddy. Keep this in mind also.... It costs you nothing to use one of us. We get compensated by the owner of the property that is listed for lease when a contract securing the property is executed. It is a great deal for you:)

The home is for sale, not for rent, it's a rental scam ad.

Wow this is the 5th house on your site with this problem, are all of yous rental listings a scam? Are there any real ones for rent on this site?

To me this one looks like a scam. Red flags due to "The Owner" Not really understanding where his house is located.

It can't be in North Long Beach & also be in "Eastside".

Run away, this is a scam.

Read my 2 blog posts here on Trulia called "RED FLAGS - RENTAL SCAMS - PUBLIC BEWARE" or google that exact phrase. If you read this you have a .01% chance of NOT getting scammed.

I think you meant a .01% chance of getting scammed or basically a 0% chance of getting scammed after reading your article. It reads know that you would have a 99.99% of getting scammed if they read your post.

Have you tried the "Ask About This Property" on the page for that house? It's not listed in the MLS so I can't give you any more information than what is provided on that page. Good Luck!
