1.25% is a widely used estimate for CA; HOWEVER, you cannot generally determine "property tax percentage by city name or zip code" due to the fact these costs may not necessarily be grouped in this fashion for the location you are considering.

On a sale of a real estate property, there are two types of transfer taxes County tax and City tax. For LA County is $1.10 per $1000 and LA City is $4.50 per $1000.
