A property near the metro is an excellent investment especially if your life style is such that you depend on Metro for transportation and want to get to and back from work relaxed without traffic delays and when your life style changes, which usually does as one grows, this property will have appreciated more than one that is not close to Metro, and if you want to keep it it will be an excellent rental property.

Purchasing a townhouse within walking distance to a Metro definitely increases the value of the home. However, if you are looking to buy a home, you can save quite a bit of money buying a home that is not so close to a metro. So unless you want or need to be by a metro, you will find that you will pay much less if not walking distance to a metro.
