Do I have to go through the realtor listed on the property? She is so pushy and likes to work both sides.

The realtor listed on the property I would like to put an offer on is working with another realtor to get other bids in on the house to drive my bid up. I have a set limit and that is what I want to offer. I don't like the pushiness and rushed feeling because she is calling the other agent.

You have the right to be represented by a buyers agent and in fact you are supposed to be presented at first contact with a NYS Agency Disclosure form outlining who you want the agent to represent. From what you have posted it is not clear what is going on. As the listing agent/selling it is her/his duty to get the best deal for the seller and in most cases you are not represented at all and are actually at risk It would be a good idea to contact a buyer’s agent to represent you ideally from another firm as well as your own very experienced lawyer who specializes in Real Estate in your area. Not sure why you are not working with an agent of your own; generally representation is free--commission is paid by the seller out of the proceeds of the sale, if two agents are involved, that fee is shared....

Find a Realtor to represent YOUR interests. The listing agent will have to "share" out the commission; you will not be required to pay it.
