You have the right to be represented by a buyers agent and in fact you are supposed to be presented at first contact with a NYS Agency Disclosure form outlining who you want the agent to represent. From what you have posted it is not clear what is going on. As the listing agent/selling it is her/his duty to get the best deal for the seller and in most cases you are not represented at all and are actually at risk It would be a good idea to contact a buyerâ€™s agent to represent you ideally from another firm as well as your own very experienced lawyer who specializes in Real Estate in your area.
