County tax record information - NJ

Asked by Ak_sb, 08824 Sun Jan 2, 2011

Hello - Bought a home in May '10 (South Brunswick twp). Looking at the tax record information via this website ( it shows the previous owner information. Noticed that other home sales that took place in the same area and time frame have upto date information. Any thoughts what to do/contact?

Sometimes it takes the county a bit of time to catch up with the tax records/deed transfers.

Go to this site:

Click "start searching" then "I agree"
Type last name and first name (I assume the mortgage is in your name) then click "search" (you can also specify which type of document you are looking for (i.e.: Mtg or Deed etc.) or search all records associated with that name.

Then just choose which one you want to read by clicking "view". If the county has it recorded, it will appear on the list.

Hope that helps....

The best advice is to talk with the township tax assessment office. They can give you the most relevant tax info.

HI Ak, It happens with no reasoning, our own home took 2 yrs for the tax records on mls to show up, this doesn't mean they don't have the correct information with the county it just means some how yours got overlooked in the process, no worries they usually catch up.

All the Best

If you post the address here as an answer to this thread, an agent will probably be able to get you the information you want. Just be specific as to exactly what information you want--owner, sales price, mortgage amounts, etc.
