Can a trustee sell assets from the trust if the assets have been frozen?

Thank you for your question. Unfortunately, your question is a legal one which most REALTORS, unless they happen to also be an attorney, cannot answer definitively or even attempt to advise on.

In this case it is best to speak to the attorney who is handling the trust. I would guess that the biggest question would be why were the assets frozen. Although they may be frozen there also may be limited reasons for allowing the liquidation of the assets. For example, to pay off creditors.

Be sure to talk to an attorney well-versed in Trust Law. Attorneys are like REALTORS; just because they are one doesn't mean they know what they are talking about.
