A home (public property tax info site) lists the joint owners. Both have been deceased at least two years. Taxes are current. Is this legal ?

Yes - it's legal until the property transfer ownership. Then it's up to the new owner(s), attorney or title company to register a transfer of property in the proper name(s). There are so many things that could be happening in the background, i.e. probating and estate, trust, etc.

Since no property was listed, it's impossible to tell exactly what's going on.

We do not know the current state of the ownership. It may be in an estate that has not been settled and the taxes paid from estate funds. What is your interest? How can I help you? Call or email, 612-986-4105l
