I would be glad to try for you. USDA tends to be the most conservative of the government loan programs, especially since a borrower can walk into a closing with a fountain pen and leave with a house. That being said, if you meet their guidelines for credit and they accept the file, you are good to go. The problem with the course of doing the loan is that you can look good on paper and the bank can underwrite the file, but it is USDA that ultimately approve it. They tell us not to send in a file with less than a 580 mid-score.
