While the commission paid to a broker to sell a house is purely negotiable -- just like everything else in life, if you have the skills -- what I've seen in the San Jose market is a range of commissions from 4% to 7%. It all depends on what you want to achieve.
Selling real estate AND closing a deal is tough work. Otherwise, few us of would be needed. If you are familiar with the process and can make the sale easier on the broker, then I can imagine you would be able to negotiate a lower rate.

Hello,
There is a credit union (Jemez Valley Credit Union) in Jemez Springs directly off NM 4 in the village.
There are a couple grocery stores in the area. One is Amanda's Country Store which is 9 miles North of the village in La Cueva. The other is The Trail House which is about 7 miles South of the village,
I just had lunch at Los Ojos Restaurant & Saloon on Monday, a great place to stop off at in the heart of the village. Other restaurants include Highway 4 Coffee and Jemez Stage Stop.
Jemez Springs is a very beautiful place to visit and live.

Confusing indeed...I am in my 50's as well and have worked with several of the large agencies. If there is a Realty World Franchise in the area I would put them on the list of companies to consider. Since joining their organization I must say they continue to be the best choice of my twenty years in the biz.... more
