Have you heard of section 8? It's a government program that will guarantee you some or all of the rental amount. I know this not just by helping home owners/landlords get thru the process, but also thru my own experiences of being a landlord.

Pavan, I agree with these other responders that contacting a realtor is the right way to go. Yes, by selling your property it does alleviate any future obligations to it, but I am not going to assume you want to sell it. Maybe renting it is the way to go for you or what you want to do. I would need more information from you for instance how long you have lived there (how much equity you have in the home), the location of the home, its condition, what you can rent it for, etc. If the home is in good condition and well maintained, you could probably be more at ease in renting it. And if it is in need of repairs, you would have to correct the problems before selling the unit anyway to get a higher sale price. Another factor to consider is how far away you are moving from Piscataway.
