The house on Tiplady is listed as a short sale and already has an offer on it since 01/11/2013. Short sales can take 3-6 months on average, so it might come available again if the first buyer backs out.

Protecting your personal property and guarding against any liability that may result from personal injury or property damage is still a major concern, even during a foreclosure. If you choose to drop your insurance, or cannot afford it any longer, the bank will force place insurance on you. As Keith Manson noted, this will cost many times that of your current policy.

I called the register of deeds and found out the bank holding. It has already gone thru sheriff sale. They have until the spring to work something out. I have searches written on the address so I will know when it becomes available. I called the bank and found the digital file on the net. It will be posted there if/when it becomes available. I know the original purchase price and the amount owed the bank. I will be working with an agent but prefer to watch at this point. I have much to do before all this can be arranged if that is even possible.... more
I did search the MLS and unfortuanately there our no land contract or lease option currently on the market in
those areas meeting your criteria. I would suggest contacting a local realtor to assist you in finding house.
