my favorite spot is a location called Pace bend Park, aka, Paleface.

It has the best of all worlds with a big beach area on one side of the park and cliffs to jump off on the other side of the park. You can also bring your boat/jetski and launch them there too,

There are campground everywhere, so you can camp as well (on the beach, near the cliffs, etc).

Windy Point has swimming, camping, scuba diving and is very popular with windsurfers. Scuba divers love this spot and many divers take their certification dive here. The park has been owned and operated by the same family for about 30 years. It is a wonderful place to campout and you have a big view of the lake. When the lake is low you have a great view of 'Sometimes Islands".

Mansfield Dam Park is located on the south side of Mansfield Dam. They have a boat launch, day-camping, picnic areas, swimming, hiking trails and windsurfing. They are open from 8:00am to dusk/dark. They currently have tw boat launches and are expanding to four lanes this spring.

If I may be of further assistance please let me know. There are many beautiful homes in Lakeway and Hudsen Bend.

There are a fwe places for public swimming on Lake Travis. Access to some of the parks is probably your best bet. Pace Bend Pak which is in the Spicewood-Briarcliff area has been one of my favorites over the years. You also have access to Mansfield Dam and Hippie Hollow if your up to it!

Another SUPER family friendly place to go for a swim in Lake Travis is the Lakeway City Park. Below is a link to all parks in the City of Lakeway. I know you also asked a couple of days ago about pools. There's a terrific swim center in Lakeway with a Skate Park just outside.

I'd love to help you find a lease in Lakeway so that you may take advantage of it all: Lake access, swim center and great schools!

Here is a good link that details the areas for public access to the Lake:
http://www.austin.com/content/view/517/327/

The main public areas are Windy Point, Volente Beach, and Hippie Hollow.

There is also access for canoes and smaller boats at several spots closer to Lady Bird Lake, which is near Down town: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lady_Bird_Lake

Don't hesitate to contact me if you have more questions! Thank you.
