There is a meeting with Parks and Recreations on Tuesday 4-14-09 at 4pm. Anyone interested in helping or advocating for a dog park in Lubbock is welcomed and encouraged to attend. Location is 1010 9th St. Parks and Recreations building.

I have lived in Lubbock forever and to my knowledge there is not an off-leash park. I would love to see such a park. Town Lake in Austin has a great one and would like to see Lubbock model one after it.

Sorry this is way conservative Texas for you. Surprisingly enough there are lots of cities talking about it now, but very few taking action or wanting to spend the funds.
