I reside at 527 N. McKinley Avenue and the owner is a slumlord. He recently lost another property for not paying his taxes and mortgage.
You have to pay rent as long as your living there or you can be evicted and have to vacate within 45 days if you don't. You should look into RENT vs BUY options. Here is a blog.
