If it IS listed for sale by accident, then you can "flag" the listing as spam or fraud.... more
I have made an offer on a piece of property but the agent said someone else was looking at the same piece but had not made an offer, but had asked the owner some questions on the lot and that he has not answered them back yet. Does my offer get ignored until he answers their questions or does it take precedence?... more
Tina, you have asked this question before on Trulia. I'm not surprised the opening bid price is the same.. You won't be able to get concessions and you will have to pay a fee to the auction house. If is usually 10%, they don't work for free. Having said that you will have to get the inspection done prior to the offer because you won't have any inspection period to get out of the deal like you do in a regular offer. You will have to pay for the inspection and have to get the utilities turned on and dewinterize to have it done. This whole thing could of been in the process of going to auction when you placed your original offer. Who knows what banks do any more. Every day is a new surprise to realtors. I wouldn't blame the realtors, it was probably out of their hands. If you don't want to go through the auction, find another house, this one has too many head aches already.
Good luck... more
