Neither Trulia, nor any other online site, can protect you from scammers......these sites do post warnings.........if a rental price seems too good to be true......it isn't true............consumers are warned never to wire money for the keys, and if someone's story as to why they can't show you the home in person seems strange, it is most likely a scam!
You can flag it as a possible fraudulent listing by bringing up the listing, and looking for the word "MORE" (in blue) under the photo.
Click on MORE and you will see the FLAG option. Trulia should remove it.... more

It is simple to do, and as your Realtor has access to the Multiple Listing Service, it will be up-to-date and complete.
