Well unfortunately all grants out there for first time home-buyer have income restrictions. I would suggest a SONYMA loan which can give you downpayment and has slightly more flexibility with income requirements.
I would also suggest to save up money. If you're in a situation were all your combined income just meets your expenses and that's why you can't save money, then you're probably not ready to take on a mortgage. Do your numbers an consider meeting with a Loan Officer and get pre-approved. This meeting will give you a good idea of what monthly payments could be. You also will get to find out more or less what kind of money you need and learn more about SONYMA if its an option or not. I'm always available t'o help if you need someone. Good luck!
