We are moving to the Jacksonville (maybe St. Augustine?) area. Is there an affordable neighborhood on the water that also has good schools?

What type of waterfront are you interested in? Navigable or a lake/pond view?
We are a husband and wife team and both were born and raised in Jacksonville. Bill actually grew up in a navigable waterfront home and specializes in waterfront homes.

The St. John's county school district (which includes St. Augustine) is one of the best rated school districts in the nation. We would be happy to send you more information on the school system with details on the ranking. What ages are your children (s)?

Our office is located in St. Johns/St. Augustine Florida. We specialize in the communities surrounding St. Johns and St. Augustine and work with many buyers and sellers in the area that you are interested in.

We offer a Free buyer's consultation (either in person or by phone) where we will walk you through the step by step process of purchasing a home. We can also email you waterfront listings that meet your search criteria and you can review them and contact us with any questions that you may have.

When purchasing a new home, don't go it alone.......contact a professional Realtor that knows the area you are intersted in and that can save you time with your search. Check our listing, "3bd / 2ba house in Del Rio ", offered for lease on Julington Creek. With a boathouse and dock, it is a perfect setting for kayaking in splendid solitude or motor boating out to the St Johns River, yet minutes away from shopping, schools, and Baptist Hospital South. It is midway between St Augustine and downtown Jacksonville (20 minutes either way.) If you are considering a lease until you become familiar with the area, this is a great option.

There are a number of neighborhoods in Jacksonville & St Augustine on the water. But in order to be able to determine affordability we would need to know at least the following;

1. What type of water are you looking for, ocean, river, creek, lake?
2. How deep does the water need to be at low tide for your use? 6 ft., 3 ft., tidal
3. How big a home do you need?
4. What specific areas of Jacksonville or St. Augustine are you interested in?
5. What is your budget?

Knowing this information would allow us to start being able to help you. If you are interested you can call us directly at 904-233-7986 or send us an email to; bobdangoia@gmail.com

All of the very best in your search,

Hi workman41,

Yes there are affordable neighborhoods on the water in the Jacksonville area. You can purchase a home on the water for $400,000+ or love in a water access
Community with boat launch for less.

There are still some excellent waterfront opportunities in areas with good schools.

Eagle Harbor in Clay County has both waterfront and has 5 day docks in the community and a boat launch right next to the Waterfeont Swim Park.

In St Johns County, River Oaks has its own boat launch and some waterfront properties. There is also. Marina at Julington Creek where you could store your boat and live in Julington Creek or one of the newer communities such as Durbin Crossing.

If you would like a relocation guide including school information, please contact us.

There are lots of water front neighborhoods in Jacksonville, we have the beaches and the St Johns river. If you're undecided between Jacksonville and St Augustine there is a great area right between the two cities, in northwest St. Johns County, River Town & Switerzerland both are near the river. I very familar with the area, I've been living in the area for the past 35 years. Give me a call or email if you'd like me to send you some homes available for sale in the area.
