If you're looking for a quiet, gated community near some great schools I have a townhome for lease if you'd like to gauge the area before purchasing:

Look at http://www.greatschools.org and http://www.schoolmatters.com. those sites may help you to choose a school. Then your realtor can help you find a home in that neighborhood. Good luck!

Yudaine,

The northwest suburbs of Houston offer many great areas to live in a variety of price ranges. The public school districts include Cy-Fair, Klein, Spring, Conroe and the Tomball school districts. All are well ranked. We have a lot of data on the schools. If you would like the most recent reports, let us know.

Mean time, you might want to review some of the larger communities in these areas. I have reviews on many of these neighborhoods on my web site. http://www.markknowshouston.com/communities.php

Let me know when you would like to meet to discuss your plans and how we could help you. Getting financially pre-approved is critical now. We can also set up an automated search via our web site to get listings to you via your email so you can preview before going out. We help buyers and can help you when your ready. Feel free to email or call.

Consider the matters that are most important to you in a school. Does your child have any special needs or interests? Gifted/talented? You can check the Texas rating system for any school. Contact the PTA at the schools you are considering and find out about parent involvement. That's usually a good indicator.

Good Morning Yudaine,

I work and live in northwest Houston and have raised three children in the Tomball School District. There are many fantastic options for you to consider. As realtors we cannot give opinion on which school is the "best" school but using the resources shared by my fellow agents and visiting schools in the areas you are interested in should help you form your own opinion. If you would like assistance feel free to call me at 281-798-4100.

Hello Yudaine,

When are you planning to move to the Cypress/Willowbrook area? Are you planning to rent or buy at this time? You can check out school information on the har.com website. You can check the school ratings and see how they rank.

If you are interested in buying, please make sure that you have a pre-approval letter so you know what your budget should be when you start looking for homes. I can provide some lender names if you need them.

If you need someone to assist you with this process, I am available. Please call or email if you have specific questions at the contact information below.

Cypress is a great area for families, my office is located nearby.
Cy-fair schools, Klein in Spring/Tomball, even Katy are good options.
Check out our websites and contact the agent you feel most comfortable with to represent you as your Buyer's Agent.

Hello Yudaine,

Good to hear from you! The best thing about NW Houston is that it is a great family area and it has some of the best schools in the Houston area. Cypress-Fairbanks is a great district and is consistently ranked among the top in academics. Also, Katy ISD , Klein ISD (select schools), and Spring Branch ISD (select schools) are all excellent schools in North/Northwest area. Also, I am a former teacher...so I am not just speaking to give you lip service....feel free to check out the school's ratings at http://ritter.tea.state.tx.us/perfreport/account/2011/distri…

I also work and live in Northwest Houston and would be more than happy show you homes in the area.

Feel free to email, call, or text me.

Best,

The first step is to locate and engage a Realtor that has your best interest in heart. He or she will ask the tough questions to determine what communities meet or exceed the requirements which you have established. This narrowing down of , neighborhoods, schools, crime, and other community features are important considerations as you trek through the home-buying process. I would love the opportunity to assist you locate your new home =, whether it is in an apartment complex or a master planned community in the area.
