Whatever you do, be very careful with craigslist! Definitely encourage you to use a company that is insured. I have heard many horror stories.

I would rather pack my own stuff because I don't want anyone to pack and go through all of my stuff. I don' t like that idea. However I love the idea of them moving all my stuff for me. http://www.arrowmoving.net/areas-served/colorado-springs-mov…

It varies, I worked as a packer for 7 years in my 20's. It can cost around $25 an hour or more depending on the company. As for the moving part, some charge by square foot and others by the weight. Another way of doing it is one overall flat fee. Get a few estimates and most important, be careful who you hire. You get what you pay for in this business.

The cost of packers and movers relies on many factors such as weight and volume of your goods, quality of packing they are offering, distance between the source and destination, tools and resources they use and other additional services. So prices varies according to these factors, however if you still want to know the actual price, then check out http://www.fairpricemovers.com/long-distance-movers/ that are renowned long distance movers which will give you right idea. Hope you get the right answers here.

Relocation can be a fun experience if it is cautiously planned. As against doing the packing, loading and unloading on your own, when you hire professional movers to do the job for you, it saves you a lot of time, effort and tension. The job of relocating can be rather an adventure if you are planning to make New York City your new house. To relieve your worry and tension, rent the services of any of the professional NYC movers.

All types of relocating services including packing, loading, providing storage facility, carrying them and lastly unpacking them are usually undertaken by movers. There is no room for worry when you take great movers as they take care of everything on the way. Being proficient, reliable and experts, movers NYC can handle packing and unpacking rather effortlessly. Executing a background check on the company before employing their services is a advised practice. The internet is the easiest place to search for NYC movers. The services and charges of several service providers can be compared on the internet to receive the feasible option.

A list of nearly all NYC movers is rendered by the Yellow Pages and Internet. Quotations can be obtained by reaching them over the telephone or online. The usual practice of most companies is to get your items inspected by a representative before providing their quotation. The costs will change from company to company dependent on factors like distance between your present residence and NYC and the number of items to be relocated. Inspect whether the charges quoted includes all services you demanded for as well. Quotes given has to be equated with current market values. Try to personally visit these companies, if possible, to check their standing. Before you settle on a date to move, see if its possible for negotiation and then finalize the contract.

The permits of NYC movers must be obligatorily received from the New York State Department of Transportation, Federal Highway Administration and Department of Consumer affairs. Your mover also has to mandatory have these documents. Verify that all kinds of accidents can be handled effectively with sufficient insurance coverage. At the time unpacking, the inventory of items must be cross checked with the list got before leaving. File a complaint with the movers in case of damaged things or if there is any disagreement.

Contact Vinnie The Mover At Advantage Movers at 212 400-8679 or go to his web site at http http://:www.advantagemovers.net and obtain your quotation to have a tension free relocation. Your best way to relocate

Hi Kobi!

As mentioned below, the actual price will vary depending on the amount of furniture. Don't hesitate to shop around and get several quotes. I've had many clients who take the first option they come across! I usually recommend AngiesList.com and Yelp to read reviews of different movers who service your area. They have tons of reviews about each company. Also do a quick google search on the name of the company before you choose. Sometimes you see some horrific things turn up with a quick search.

Please feel free to reach out to me directly if you have any other questions!

Best,
Alex

I'm glad you mentioned Yelp. For something as important as moving, I'd hire a real company with good reviews. Getting friends and neighbors to help is nice, but it's generally far less efficient. And you better know how to package things safely if you're going to go that route. http://arizonaactivemovers.com/

That all depends on how many rooms you are moving and the distance. I would recommend Men on the Move and Moving Right Along.

Hi, I worked as a mover and specifically a packer for many years. Be very careful who you use, you get what you pay for and what you don't pay for. Get personal referrals from people you actually know. This way the referral is a bit more trusted.

Do not, absolutely do NOT work with a company called NYC Mini Movers!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I just used them for my move, I scheduled a time with them for 1PM, after they confirmed that they had availability from 12PM-7PM. THE MOVERS SHOWED UP almost FOUR HOURS LATE!!!! This was after repeated calls to the office to find out what was happening. They responded to my first call with a text message that said the driver was experiencing delays and would contact me soon. NOOO word from the driver or anyone else for close to 3 hours after this. Movers showed up and said they were just dispatched to come right after finishing a prior move...very upsetting, ABSOLUTELY RIDICULOUS and I will tell everyone I know never to use this company

NYC Mini Movers == NO NO AND NO

i loved not having to pack, i packed personal things, but i had moving company to pack kitchen, fragile things, even books, they were terrific, and if anything breaks, its covered by their insurance, but everything arrived perfectly safe. I dont remember how much it was but it was worth every penny.
I used moving man, but it was a loooong time ago, I still remember the foreman name, Caesar, he made it all happen.
Hope it helps and good luck

make sure the place you go with is insured, and bonded, and get the price in writing prior to move, there are some predatory companies out there that will charge you a minimal hourly rate, they will pack you up and hold your stuff hostage until you pay whatever price they name.

It really is not as expensive as you might think. Call around and get some estimates, there are a number of reputable movers. You can google around a bit and you will likely find feeback from previous users.
They will come to you place, pack things up, move to your new place and unpack. I think it is well worth the cost and lessens the stresses of the transition.
