Normally, you don't have the well & septic until your building plans are known to determine what size is required. What you want to know is if a perk test has been done, to show that the property can support a septic system. Wells vary in cost depending on the depth required. Are you planning to build, or place a mobile home? Which area of central Virginia are you thinking of. Prices for an acre lot will depend on the county & distance from Richmond you are looking.

You should contact a local realtor to visit your home and give you an update on the market value of your home today. You may want to consider renting out the home too. The time to sell is when you are ready and are financially able to do so. When you are armed with information you will be in a much better situation to make those personal decisions.

There are many marinas in the area as we have miles and miles of coast line along the Potomac River. The Cabin Point/Glebe Harbor community does not have a marina, they have a community boat ramp and community beaches. However, there are other marinas close by.
