I'd suggest you plan on renting for a while first. This allows you to get a sense of the area and not be committed to a neighborhood before you get to know it well. Albenaki91, Yes you can own property in the USA. The important part is how will you pay for it? If cash then the money has to be sourced. Where did it come from? If placed into a bank in the USA it must be "seasoned" in a bank for a minimum of 60 days.
The most important item is how are you paying for it. Most foreigners pay cash. There are foreign national loans. Best to speak with an international bank for further information.
Some lenders and loan programs will go down to a 580 credit score. You'd be better off, though, until you get your credit score above 640. Otherwise, from what you've posted, you look good...but there are additional factors involved, too. Check with some lenders in your area.... more
