Help the community by answering this question:

Very smart choice! One of the decisions to be made is whether the home you choose in the Poway Unified District happens to be in a Special Assessment District (Called Mello Roos) which can add several thousand dollars per year to you tax bill. In this district you will find some areas with and without the Mello Roos. You will also find that the newer areas with this extra tax have some pretty remarkable newer school buildings, parks, etc.

If you have kids a smart place to go is http://www.greatschools.org where you can get a remarkable amount of information on each individual school in terms of test scores, teacher salaries, etc. At this site you can put in the address of a home you are considering and can get the specific ranking of the schools that would be for kids at that address.

There are plenty of Realtors that can provide you knowledge and service. I would be delighted to have the opportunity to be considered.! Regards! Dan Dennison, MBA

Both are great communities with great schools. Poway is a separate school district - Poway Unified School District, while Scripps is part of the San Diego Unified District.

You may want to open your search to Rancho Bernardo, another Poway Unified area.

All of these areas are VERY high demand right now, so be prepared to pay more or get less compared to surrounding areas. Depending on your price range, inventories are down by as much as 80% over the last 90 days. Under 500k homes are receiving upwards of 20 offers in 5 days.

If it will help, email me your requirements and I will send you a market report for your specific house type. The report answers what YOUR house type is doing in the market over the last 90 days. Free no obligation and very useful.

Good luck and let me know if you want to be represented by someone who is a Broker, real estate appraiser former bank executive and general contractor - no one has my level of licensing and experience!

Hi there,
I am a neighborhood realtor for Scripps Ranch and Poway. I live in Scripps Ranch and truly believe it is one of the best communities in San Diego, especially for families. Our schools and community are absolutely amazing.
I would love to help you find a home. Since I live and work in Scripps Ranch I am really familiar with the market and even know about many properties in both Scripps Ranch and Poway before they are listed on the MLS.
Please let me know how I can help!!
Talk to you soon!

Good Morning,
I would be happy to assist you in finding a home in the school district you are looking for. There are a lot of great opportunities in the area right now, but it is a very quick paced market, so it helps to have someone who knows the inventory on your side to assist you. Feel free to call, text or email and we can get started in finding you the perfect home. I use greatschools.org as a wonderful tool when locating precise districts.

I would love the opportunity to help with your real estate needs.
As other agents mentioned, there are limited inventory and it is selling quickly.
It is very important to work with a full time, knowledgeable and flexible agent to move quickly in the process.
Please feel free and call me.

Great choices! The Poway school district offers the best bang for your real estate buck here in San Diego. Single family homes start in the high $400's for small homes and work their way up.

If you've been living outside of California, you may experience our infamous sticker shock at home prices; it's something lots of people experience and is only natural.

I would love to speak with you directly, send you homes that match your search criteria and offer recommendations as needed.

Feel free to give me a call.

Hi Timwife1997,
I live in Scripps Ranch and sell lots of homes here and in Poway and all over North County. My daughter is presently at Marshall Middle School and will be at Scripps Ranch High in about 18 months.

I have a great 3-bedroom listing in Scripps - even walking distance to Scripps Ranch High - but inventory is really moving fast. Feel free to contact me to let me know what you're looking for in terms of price range, number of bedrooms needed, home size and we'll get your search begun!

I look forward to hearing from you soon!

The homes in these school districts are highly sought after. I have first hand knowledge as my home and office are located in the Poway School District. Inventory is limited so it is very important that you align yourself with an experienced agent who can educate you on the current buying market and the steps you will need to take to get into escrow.

I would be happy to have an open discussion with you.
