Treat all people with dignity and respect, and yes, listen and learn from each person. In my area there are a lot of engineers, scientists, and brilliant academics looking for homes. Many of whom have no idea what the home buying process is.
I received 12 text messages in one day from a buyer once we were in escrow, she asked basic questions and often repeated the same question the next day. My responses were swift and correct and urged her to call/text/email anytime. When we completed the transaction, she was thrilled and thanked me profusely for "being there" for her.

I work with a lot of investors--both or renovation, rehab "flips" and for holding (rentals). I always suggest being in an area that 1) has an exemplary-rated school district (that narrows out The Colony) AND in an area where as, if you "had" to sell or decided to sell in a year or so (or in a couple of years), it's an area that the homes are not staying on the market long. Do your due-diligence and research both the sale and lease comps. (Although none of us can predict the future, we can look at current and previous data-trends and make an educated decision).
Feel free to contact me if I can assist, answer questions, or get you comps, statistical figures for these areas. (You may also want to check out West Plano and Richardson! Those are great areas for rentals).

There are certain brokers who do this. I do this myself. Here's how it works with me. I will list your home on the MLS and 54 different search engines, including Zillow.com, Trulia.com, Homes.com and Realtor.com. I show your home and try to sell it myself. If I do, you pay zero commission. If I sell your home through another agent, you'd have to pay 3% commission to that company, but nothing to me.
The only stipulation is, you need to use me as your agent on the house you buy once your house is sold. Since the seller of that house pays the commission, you are not out anything, plus you are represented by a Broker with over 4,000 sales and 38 years of experience.... more
