Woodland Park has most of the amenities of a large city but it is still able to offer the benefits of a small quiet mountain community. The city is nestled at the base of Pikes Peak and outdoor recreation is as abundant as the wildlife is plentiful. The area offers a shuttle express to Colorado Springs which makes for an easy commute even on snowy days. You can enjoy the best of the Colorado lifestyle when you live in Woodland Park or the surrounding Pikes Peak Region.
Home prices have declined and inventory is plentiful.

Woodland Park market conditions are stable. We do have a Wal-Mart, but the best part about Woodland Park is the People. People help people here.

Woodland Park is a town that is about a Quality of Life. The temperture is cooler then the Colorado Springs.

As for the by-pass, it will not happen, at least not for the next 30 years. There may be a business route but not a by-pass.

Woodland Park is definitely up and coming. It's like an island in the mountains. I'm assuming you know something about it, if not, let me know and I'll clarify my answers.

Are prices headed for a sharp decline or modest decline? Well, my crystal ball is broke, but I wouldn't guess it will be a sharp decline. Not all areas are declining there. You'll have to approach each property independently and determine it's value and projected value.

As you probably already know Wal-mart opened up there. I know, I know, Wal-Mart... I bring this up because Wal-Mart doesn't open where there is no business. The prices have slowly risen over the years and a lot of people are moving there and love it. You get the small mountain town environment and your only a short drive down the pass to Colorado Springs. There are a lot of great opportunities in Woodland Park. Commercially speaking Woodland Park is booming. Although, the bypass will be something to consider and the impact it will have on the town is yet to be determine, I know the folks of Woodland Park are trying to prevent a negative impact.

Let us know if you need more information.
Best of luck,
Susan
