You can see if your name is still on the deed at the Broward Property Appraiser's Website - http://www.bcpa.net/search.asp. As far as the mortgage goes, you should call the bank directly, just to be sure. You can also pull a credit check.

Hi Jada,

Yes you can find out if your name is still on the mortgage and deed at the county resource sites such as:

http://www.BCPA.net and

http://www.broward.org/RecordsTaxesTreasury/Records/Pages/Pu…

Keep in mind that if you had a recent transactions and a home was sold that it takes the county anywhere from 2-6 weeks to update the computer systems for current information. However you can go to the county directly and they will pull up a certified copy from their internal system which would be more up to date than the idx external system.

Please feel free to call me or email with any questions you may have.

For a basic search, go to "broward.org" then "public record search" which is under "online services". You can do a search by your name, and this site will list anything recorded since 1978. Since you mention "still on mortgage and deed", you need to pay attention to the date both were recorded (under your name) and look for anything (deeds, quit claim deeds, certificate of title, assignments of mortgage, etc past that date as well).

The Bcpa.net site is the property appraiser's site and also has a link to the County Tax site. These are only updated periodically. The Broward.org site is updated within days of the document being recorded.

Email me if you need assistance.
