what is the % of decrease in property values that Burleson has seen since the 2007recesion started? I want to
see if perhaps we can get a decrease in property taxes that reflects this decrease.

Gmcg,
Because of ongoing construction and development in Burleson, I have not witnessed a decrease in property taxes per se. What a Realtor can do for you is to run the taxes on a specific property. As always you are able to challenge your tax bill based on whether or not there has been any improvements in your area.
