There are many such homes. I would love to help you, I specialize in 1st time home buyers. There is a great deal of inventory in New Hyde Park, Mineola, Valley Stream, Floral Park just to name a few. The prices range from the high $200k to $400k. Most of the lower priced homes will need work. If you want something that doesn't need much work, the prices range in the mid $300k to low $400k range. There are also some short sales on the market. A short sale is a home that is being sold for less than the homeowner owes on the home. All offers must be approved by the bank.
