FIRST ANSWER
Hmmmm, you might want to visit a Mortgage Broker or your Bank to find out how much home you can afford for the amount of rent you are paying. Or, you can try one of the hundreds of calculators available on the web. I even have one on my we site. I wouldn't recommend them, though, they don't ask enough questions to give you a true picture, only a lender can do that.
