Neigborhoods are all about personal preferences, budgets, wants, needs, lifestyle; therefore consider researching areas of interest on your own, and take the time to visit more than once, then determine where your comfort level can best be reached; don't simply just entertain what other people think or say, another's opinion may not be anywhere near the best thing for you...

Stoneybrook at Venice is a gated community that has young families with children of all ages, to retirees and every age in between. There's a very nice clubhouse for all sorts of events, movie room, fitness center, tennis courts, basketball courts, volleyball, inline skating rink, childrens' splash pool and play area, The HOA fee is $459/quarter and includes all the above amenities. Make sure you compare costs with other communities. Stoneybrook at Venice is minutes to I75 and downtown Venice and Venice Beach.
Venice Middle School is just minutes down Center Road as is a Catholic school. Garden Elementary school is just a couple of minutes further east on Center Road and is opposite the beautiful Family YMCA and its Sky Academy, whose focus is based on research proving that physical activity builds and conditions the brain for learning. It's a fabulous facility!
I live in Stoneybrook at Venice and purchased there specifically to be in a community that has a diverse population. I would be happy to tell you more. Just give me a call.

I live in the Venetian Golf and River Club WCI Community.. Hands down the best place to live for so many reasons.. #1 Sarasota is too crowded.. Venice too old (but getting better) Nokomis area (no, not fond of 1M homes next to 100K homes) The venetian has over 1000 homes - gated community plus they have hands down the best amenities for families.. awesome tennis camps for kids (which include yoga) the River Club is the jewel - take the family have lunch poolside ..2 great pools - no place like it.. They have a trail that is just beautiful.. they have wonderful events for the kids (all ages) every holiday.. Now schools.. Pineview 2- 12th grade is ranked 6th in the country ( gifted only ) my son went there..loved it! However There is Venice elementary they too have an excellent program.. and there is always your local catholic or charter school.. can't go wrong...it's safe and super friendly.. homes are beautiful..

Sarasota County has the top schools in Florida. Nothing is too far from the beach.

We are moving from a beach town in the north and love the unique areas of Sarasota and Siesta. We are very active and like to bike, swim or walk everyday. Our son will be going into 5th grade and is coming from a top performing school. Would like to rent first to get to know the area.
